NEBytes October event - Andrew Fryer on SQL Server "Denali"

I've been hoping to get Microsoft UK's Andrew Fryer up to Newcastle to talk at NEBytes for a while and I'm happy that the stars have come into allignment and we're able to make it happen next month.

Andrew is coming along to speak about the forthcoming version of SQL Server, codenamed Denali. In his own words:

Denali is the next release of SQL Server. It builds on the three themes of the previous version:

  • Scalability and Availability
  • Unstructured Data
  • Business Intelligence

So I am going to dive into each of these as far as I can at the moment and give you and idea of what's coming up in the public beta

This event is outside our normal "3rd Wednesday" schedule on Thursday 6th October at 6:30pm at Newcastle University.

It's a free event, but please register via Eventbrite so we have an idea of numbers.
